A Brief History of Origami
The art of Origami, or paper folding, has its origins in ancient China around 1900 years ago during the first century. The art was brought by Buddhist monks to Japan around the 6th century, but because paper was so expensive, most origami was used by those who were wealthy, or by Buddhist priests for religious ceremonies. The word "origami" comes from Japan and actually means fold (ori) paper (gami)
